Northwest home manufacturers, the region's electric utilities, and the Northwest states have teamed up to offer home buyers certified energy-efficient manufactured homes. NEEM and Energy Star® labeled manufactured homes are built to save 30 percent on heating bills, compared to manufactured homes built to federal standards. These homes have:

• Better windows and doors
• A specially designed -- and quiet -- ventilation system
• Better sealed heating ducts
• Reduced drafts
The NEEM and Energy Star® labels mean the Montana Department of Environmental Quality has approved design plans for the home, made inspections at the plant and will provide support for energy-efficiency features after you buy the home. Lincoln Electric provides cash incentives for these efficient homes.
